here's aries. ok. i have a dilemma. custom iphone cases are harder to get a hand on than i anticipated. mostly due to the fact that i am planning for 12 different designs (although at this point, 8 might be the best i can do to get stuff in on time). the problem comes from the fact that factories will not print custom iphone cases without producing a HUGE amount. i knew this to some extent, but the numbers are just outrageous. the minimum i've been able to find so far is 500 units per design. WAAAY too many. i doubt i can even sell 100 of each design, let alone 500. then add that to the fact that there's 12 designs, that's 6000 units total. then there's the cost. roughly $5 per unit. i dont even have enough money for that with all my savings. so i think im going to have to drop this idea... at least the ohpne case part. i can always make prints... but if you guys have any other ideas i can use these images for, do let me know.

got 2 more down. still 5 more to go... only after looking at these two images now do i realize that they are quite similar in many ways.

oh god.

it's february guys. shitdoodles. i've only colored... 5 of my drawings!! :| what about you guys. how are you guys doing? looking into where to print and stuff yet? already done that? could you perhaps share your findings if you have? :D

ah. clean socks. can never have too many clean socks. anyway, colored some. i couldn't think of things for the remaining three signs, so i decided that instead of sitting around thinking about things, i'd just turn my brain off and color some stuff. so i colored some.

here is cancer. hard outside, soft inside. i gave her a harry potter scarf and her armor is going to be covered in stickers (during the coloring stage).

here's libra. which is actually being portrayed as maat, the egyptian equivalent. who knew the egyptians would have pretty much the same thing as libra. maybe they're related? i have no idea. oh mythology.

here's ol' scorpio. supposedly a reason based star sign, which made me think of logic. which made me think of math. which made me think of SCIENCE! which is somewhat related to steampunk. so i turned him into a weird steampunk gentleman. i think there's an ironic example of terrible inductive logic going on in those previous statements...

Competitive Nature Revisions

Some more revisions, and tightening up a bit. Took arthur's advice (I think) and made it bigger by putting characters in a small New York like apartment. Not sure how cartoony versus how real i want to go, having trouble with anatomy especially those hands. If anyone has suggestions I would be grateful! must move on

dunno what she has to do with a pair of fish. well, actually, i sorta vaguely do. read somewhere that pisces has some kind of split personality trait, but not sure i care whether it's clear to others or not anymore. no more time! :|

im going to stop doing the cleanup for the line art until i get all the sketches done. the gemini one is getting too detailed again and makes some of the other ones (especially capricorn) look kinda shitty in comparison. might go back to capricorn at some point and redo it. if i have time.

here is a more finished capricorn. dont know which i will tackle next. aquarius is still really bugging me in it's line weight and detail. like, the difference between aquarius and the others is striking to me. is it just me? does it bother anyone else?

Competitive Nature

Here is a sketch i want to finish, which might have more of a story soon. It's about video game bullies. Based on true events, or a friend of mine who has made it his life goal to destroy me in Street Fighter or pinball...or anything! Game art about gamers... or something. Let me know if this reads or if you have any comments. I'm interested in doing more slice of life nerdness.
